The effect of smoking on laser tattoo removal
A study published recently in Arch Dermatol has analyzed the different variables affecting the treatment course and prognosis of Q-switched laser tattoo removal. Performed in Milan, the study has found that only 22.8% of patients listed as smokers successfully achieved complete tattoo removal after 10 treatment sessions. Meaning that 78% of smokers will require more treatment for complete removal of their tattoo.

Laser Dermatology offers the R20 Method of laser tattoo removal
The new laser tattoo removal treatment, referred to as the "R20 method", uses the Q-switched YAG laser, in a new way. Instead of only completing one pass of the laser during the office visit, there are four passes used to treat the tattoo during the same visit. Available now at Laser Dermatology.
